Surangana Bandyopadhyay (Bengali:সুরঙ্গনা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়)[1][2] (born 18 November 1997)[3] is a next-generation Indian actress who appears in Bengali films. She also got some roles in Bengali television mega serials.

Early life and education

She appeared on screen as a child artist. Though she started off as a dancer. At the age of nine she was a participant and a semi-finalist of the popular dance reality show Dance Bangla Dance Junior aired on Zee Bangla in the year 2007-2008. She studies at Julien Day School, ICSE Board.[3]

Career

Film

The first time when she appeared on screen was in 2008 as a child artist. Her debut film was Aainaate (You may spell Aayena Te), directed by Dulal dey. After that, in the span of 2008-2014 she got more opportunities to deliver as an actor in some good Bengali films. But She has not got the limelight. She came into the spotlight after the releasing of Bengali movie Open Tee Bioscope.[4] Till now that is the big project she worked for.

Television

She worked in Bengali mega serials also. The name of the serial was Durga which was aired on Star Jalsa. She got the lead role and delivered that role quite brilliantly.
