Surrey County Council election, 1993, Guildford
In May 1993 county council elections were held in England, including those for Surrey County Council. Shown below are the results for the Guildford electoral districts on Surrey County Council.[1]
Three electoral division changed hands in these elections relative to the 1989 elections. The Liberal Democrats gained Worplesdon from the Conservatives. The Liberal Democrats retained the electoral division of Ash which they had captured, from the Conservatives, in a by-election, in 1990. The Liberal Democrats captured the electoral division of Guildford North from Labour.
The Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats each contested all nine electoral divisions. Labour contested eight electoral divisions, one fewer than in 1989. There were no other candidates.
