Svein Arne Hansen
Svein Arne Hansen (born 6 May 1946) is a Norwegian sports official and the current President of the European Athletic Association.
He hails from Bygdøy and works as a stamp trader outside of sports. He was formerly the meet director of Bislett Games, and advanced from vice president to president of the Norwegian Athletics Association in 2003.[1][2]
He has also been a deputy member of the Norwegian Confederation of Sports' electoral committee.
Hansen has been a vocal proponent of lifetime bans for doping offenses.[3][2]
