Swammerdamia caesiella is a moth of the Yponomeutidae family. It is found from most of Europe to Japan. It is also present in North America,[2] where it is possibly an introduced species.[3]

The wingspan is 9–13 mm. Adults are greyish with a white head. They are on wing from May to June and again in August in two generations per year.[4]

The larvae feed on Betula species. They feed on the parenchyma on the upperside of a leaf, beneath a silken web.
