TMT Development is a privately held real estate development company based in Portland, Oregon. The corporate headquarters are located in the Fox Tower and a large portion of the operations are centered in and around the Portland metro area.
History
TMT Development Company Inc. was founded by Tom Moyer in 1988.[1] Initially, TMT Development and the Hillman Group partnered to develop a 24-story office building in downtown Portland called the 1000 Broadway building. Blocks from Pioneer Courthouse Square, the office building opened in 1991. The Hillman Group later sold their interest in the building to TMT Development. The Fox Tower, designed by TVA Architects and built by Hoffman Construction Company was completed in 2000 and was the second skyscraper that Tom Moyer developed. The Park Avenue West Tower, located next to Director Park and the Fox Tower in downtown Portland, is set to resume construction in 2013.[2] The Park Avenue West Tower will be a 26 level Class A mixed use development that is pre-certified LEED Platinum through the U.S. Green Building Council.
Developments and operations
TMT Development currently owns and operates 8.5 million square feet of commercial real estate throughout Oregon and SW Washington state.[3] The company owns and manages office buildings, shopping centers and industrial land in Kent, Vancouver, the greater Portland area, and Salem. TMT Development also owns shopping centers including Mill Plain Plaza, Hayden Meadows Shopping Center and Airport Commerce Center.
