Taibai County is located west of Mount Qin Ling and southeast of Baoji City. It is named after nearby Mount Taibai, a major peak of the Qin Mountains. It has 5 towns and 3 townships, including 66 administrative villages, and covers an area of 2,780 km2. It has a population of 52,000.
