History
Teleopti was founded in 1992 by Nils Bildt and Maria Bildt as a small company to provide customer support for ABB, SAS, SEB and Volvo in Sweden. They are both still active in the company; both are members of the board, Nils as the Executive Chairman.
In January 1998, Teleopti had 9 employees; a year later there were 25 of Teleoptimist. In 2016 the company has over 170 employees worldwide. Teleopti has several local offices around the world and operates through a comprehensive network of partners.
The support solution was based on an algorithm that optimized voice over fixed data networks from an economical perspective. In the late 90s the company started its expansion in the Nordic countries. The first non-Nordic office was opened in the UK in 2000.[3]
