Tennison Cooray ( සිංහල:ටෙනිසන් කුරේ ), is a Sri Lankan film actor,[1][2] screenplay writer, stage drama actor and a director. He is one of Sri Lanka's best known comedian after Freddie Silva and counterpart Bandu Samarasinghe.[3][4] He is known for many stage drama conducted throughout the country and comedy films with Bandu in numerous occasions, such as Ra Daniyel Dawal Migel 1,2,3, Pissu Puso, Kolompoor, Parliament jokes, and Somy boys. His first film direction came through Thank you Berty, which was released on 25 November 2011.[5][6]

Early life

He studied at Methodist High School, Moratuwa.
