Thai Customs Decree

The Thai Customs Decree was a decree that was implemented during World War II under the Phibun regime. It prohibited the "wearing of sarongs, the use of Malay (Muslim) names and the Malay language".[1]:444 The decree was repealed in 1961.[1]:447
