Thank You For Your Service is a 2015 documentary film by Tom Donahue.[1] The film premiered at DOC NYC.[2]
Synposis
The film chronicles mental health amongst U.S. military veterans. Thank You for Your Service looks at the American understanding of war trauma and the policies that result. Director Tom Donahue (Casting By) interweaves the experiences of struggling Iraq War veterans with interviews of top military and political leaders. Interviews included in the film are Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Admiral Mike Mullen, Generals David Petraeus and Loree Sutton, Sebastian Junger, Nicholas Kristof, Dexter Filkins, Senator Patty Murray, Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Colonels Lawrence Wilkerson and Dave Sutherland.[3]
