Thatteem Mutteem is an Indian comedy television series directed by Gopalan Manoj, which depicts relationship between a mother-in-law and the daughter-in-Law in a family portrayed by K. P. A. C. Lalitha and Manju Pillai respectively. The series is shot with Full HD cameras and premieres on the Malayalam channel Mazhavil Manorama telecasted at 8:00(IST) on every Fridays. Gireesh Gramika serves as the screenwriter.[1] The show has won Kerala state television awards in 2014 and 2016.
Plot of Thatteem Mutteem
The plots of each episodes vary.From single quarrels to big problems in the family is mixed with comedy to make it a very nice comedies and plots. However, the most common plot is the quarrel between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law, and the struggle of the kids and Arjunan to solve it. Sub plots include the crush of Arjunan to Mallika, their neighbour and her liking for Arjunan's poems, which wreaks havoc in the family. Although the daughter-in-law has a strong distaste towards the mother-in-law, they share a mutual respect for one another.
Production
KPAC Lalitha and Manju Pillai essay the role mother-in-law and daughter-in-law respectively.The mother-in-law outwits her daughter-in-law and is always ready to pick up a fight with her.The daughter-in-law rises to the occasion.Jayakumar plays Manju’s husband who is a government officer who is unwilling to go to work and lives on mother's pension.Siddharth and Bhagyalakshmi are cast as their kids. The children are one of the main attraction in the serial as they lose no opportunity in instigating a fight between the two women.

Reception
The series was successful, mainly because of the main attraction, the children, who lose no opportunity to instigate a fight between the two women and no dubbing is another quality of this. Thatteem Mutteem is considered special in that the show is recorded using "spot dialogues". This technique creates a natural sound and look. The artists behave as in real situations. Moreover,the acting is very natural and simple and the series has a relation to reality in the modern day which led the series to its success.
Airing history
The show started airing on Mazhavil Manorama on 2012 telecasted on Saturdays 8:00 pm IST.Then shifted the schedule to Fridays 9:30 pm IST.Later in 2014 the show shifted to Saturdays 9:30 pm IST.In 2015 aganin a schedule change happened show was given the slot of 7:30 pm IST every saturdays.Even though several schedule changes had happened the show is well accepted by the audience .
