The Black Whip

The Black Whip is a post-Civil War (Western) movie directed by Charles Marquis Warren. It was released in 1956, starring Hugh Marlowe, Coleen Gray, Adele Mara, Angie Dickinson, Richard Gilden, and Paul Richards. The movie brief describes the movie as "two brothers rescue four dance-hall girls, and encounter trouble from a villain wielding a wicked whip".

The movie depicts the time as April 1867 where post-war derelicts, plunderers, and looters continue their crazed violence out west. The story and screenplay were written by Orville Hampton.
