The Devil is a Sissy is a 1936 American MGM comedy drama film directed by W.S. Van Dyke and Rowland Brown. The film stars Freddie Bartholomew, Jackie Cooper and Mickey Rooney, three of the biggest child stars of the 1930s.[1]

Plot summary

Claude 'Limey' Pierce (Freddie Bartholomew) is a wealthy lonely young English boy attending a New York public school. He is befriended by slum kid James 'Gig' Stevens (Mickey Rooney), son of a recently executed gangster. Robert 'Buck' Murphy (Jackie Cooper) is a middle-class gang leader with whom Rooney frequently clashes.[2]
