The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 1954
This is a list of adult fiction books that topped The New York Times Fiction Best Seller list in 1954.[1]

Mary Anne was Daphne du Maurier's novelization of the life of Mary Anne Clarke, an English courtesan. it spent 11 weeks at the top of the list. The most successful novel of the year however, as measured by weeks at top, was the now-obscure novel by Morton Thompson called Not as a Stranger (25 weeks).[2]
