The Noises are a collection of privately owned[1] islands lying northeast of Rakino Island in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf. The group is dominated by Otata Island, Motuhoropapa Island and Orarapa Islands which account for most of the surface land area.

The islands are uninhabited and offer some excellent fishing and diving. Successful rat eradication programs in the 1980s were instrumental in showing that it was possible to recreate pest-free habitats, and were also instrumental in restoring birdlife.[1]
