Plot
Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) live a change moment since Claire begins her job as she becomes the new boss of Jay's Company. However, Phil feels that he has become the "house husband" while Claire now is in charge of the company. Claire offers him a SEGWAY but he suspects that the gift is only a "thank you" reward for his work. Thanks to Gloria, Phil manages to make Claire understand that he too disserves respect, but finds himself in the adviser role when it's revealed that Claire is as scared as him in her new place. At the end of this story, Phil has a sleepwalking crisis and since Claire has an appointment on the following day, Luke (Nolan Gould) offers to help.
Elsewhere, Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria (Sofía Vergara) also have a problem with their couple as it's now Gloria who works while Jay enjoys his retirement. When he sees that Gloria created a mechanic human who bears a strong resemblance with her and attracts a lot of men, Jay enlists, Manny (Rico Rodriguez) in order to get ride of the object. When all his tentatives prove to be a failure, he tries at first to blame another businesswoman, but then confesses when he finally manages to destroy the object. To his amazement, Gloria isn't mad at him, arguing that he also can be jealous of her.
Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) have new lodgers but their guests' behavior are actually curious. Though Mitchell objects that Cameron does not have to spy on their guests's private life, he and Lilly (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) end up involved and Mitchell discovers that his neighbors are actually toy's collectors who are in town in order to participate in a festival. Mitchell destroys accidentally all the toys, and despite the couple managing to replace them, they vow to never spy again.
