Thymophylla pentachaeta, also known as fiveneedle pricklyleaf,[1] golden dyssodia or dogweed, is a perennial or subshrub in the Asteraceae family. The species is native to the southwestern United States and Mexico.
Four varieties are recognised:
- T. pentachaeta var. belenidium
- T. pentachaeta var. hartwegii
- T. pentachaeta var. pentachaeta
- T. pentachaeta var. puberula
