Tompi (born Teuku Adifitrian; September 22, 1978) is an Indonesian singer and doctor. Currently, Tompi has released seven studio albums and two religious albums. Tompi is an alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Indonesia and is a plastic surgeon.
His vocal character was influenced by Aceh traditional songs and recitations of Al-Quran. Tompi began by releasing his debut studio album Cherokee and became popular with his second studio album Bali Lounge. In 2005, Tompi released his third studio album T with popular single “Selalu Denganmu”. During Ramadhan, Tompi launched his first religious album Soulful Ramadhan in 2006. In 2007, Tompi returned, releasing his fourth studio album Playful and producing his first single “Salahkah” which won Best Urban Production Work at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia in 2008. A year later, Tompi released his fifth studio album My Happy Life and produced the single “Sedari Dulu”.
After being signed to E-Motion Entertainment, Tompi released his sixth studio album in 2009 Paris Jakarta Express and released his seventh studio album Tak Pernah Setengah Hati in 2010. Tompi released his second religious album Sounds of Ramadhan in 2011.
In 2013, Tompi formed a group with Sandhy Sondoro and Glenn Fredly, Trio Lestari. In addition, Tompi released his eighth studio album Romansa and single collaboration “Bawalah Daku” with Indonesian actress Dian Sastrowardoyo.[1] Tompi performed several songs at the Wonderful Indonesia Festival & Travel Mart in Sydney, Australia.[2]
