The app was first discussed in 2010.[1] The Touch Surgery mobile app is a mobile surgical training platform designed to simulate surgical procedures.[1][2][3][3] As of August 2014, The Touch Surgery mobile app included surgical instructions for about 50 surgical procedures.[4] As of 2014 the company claimed patients make about forty percent of the app's downloads.[3] In August 2016 Touch partnered with Ethicon Inc. to provide training for General Surgery Procedures and Ethicon's surgical products.[5]
