Toxolophosaurus was a Sphenodontid from the Early Cretaceous–age Kootenai Formation of Montana.[3]
Discovery
Toxolophosaurus cloudi was found by Olson in 1960[2] in the Kootenai Formation, 223.75 feet above the base of the Kootenai.[3]
Classification
Toxolophosaurus was named a member of Sphenodontidae by Michael Benton in 1985.[2] It is closely related to Priosphenodon and Eilenodon.
Diet
Toxolophosaurus was herbivorous, meaning that it ate only plants.[1]
