Tranby Croft was a Canadian folk group that was located in London, Ontario, Canada.
Tranby Croft performed a mix of Celtic to contemporary music from about 1993 to 2007.
Bob Cunningham, one of the founder members of the group, has some interesting family connections to the beautiful Yorkshire mansion, Tranby Croft. It is possible that he is somehow related to the Wilson family that owned Tranby Croft, in the 19th century.
Tranby Croft became well quite known in Canada, during the 1990s mostly by way of CBC (and other radio stations) broadcasts of their CD, Timeline and also their first recording entitled, Tranby Croft. Tranby Croft were listed in the Canadian Book of Lists, by Randy Ray and Mark Kearney. Tranby Croft was listed as being among the most favourite folks artists of veteran CBC Radio personality Max Ferguson.
