Transcendence Theatre Company is a 501c3 nonprofit professional regional theatre company based in Sonoma County, California. Transcendence Theatre Company (TTC) specializes in producing Broadway Concerts and Musicals in the majestic open-air ruins of a historic winery in Jack London State Historic Park as well as in venues throughout Sonoma County. TTC is changing the common approach to theatre by focusing on an holistic approach to art, community, health, and the environment. It is TTC's goal to serve local residents and tourists alike by producing an annual theatre festival that began in the summer of 2012.
History
Transcendence Theatre Company was established in 2008 as a 501c3 non-profit performing arts organization.
In 2009, the company embarked on the Transendence Artist Project at the Gertrude Perlman Theatre in Punta Banda, Baja Mexico where they spent March through June of that year laying the foundation of the company and exploring what it means to be a holistic company in the 21st century. The company produced the musical Working for their first ever main stage performance along with various community projects with local orphanages and the residents of Punta Banda, La Bufadora, and Rosarito, Mexico. During the 4-month project, the company joined with a team of holistic health specialists to integrate physical and mental health practices into an artists training. The artists worked with specialists in a variety of fields including fitness, nutrition, psychology, music therapy, and neuroscience.
Project Knowledge included the six founding artists of TTC embarking on a 2-month cross country research tour in the spring of 2010 to assess the current challenges facing the theatre field. Over 450 people participated in the project from Artistic Directors at the United States' top regional theatres like the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Arena Stage and Steppenwolf Theatre, to Broadway Producers to college students and professors.[2] TTC used all the invaluable data that was gathered on "Project Knowledge" to begin to build the foundation for their company. [3] [4]
On Saturday, October 1, 2011 TTC produced, Broadway Under the Stars a benefit concert for the Valley of the Moon Natural History Association, a 501c3 non-profit organization which takes care of Jack London, Annadel and Sugarloaf Ridge State Parks.[5]

Relationship with Jack London State Historic Park
The purpose of Jack London State Historic Park is to make available to the public for their enjoyment the historical and natural features that exemplify Jack London’s lifestyle, his contribution to American literature, his efforts to develop and demonstrate new agricultural techniques and his affection for the natural environment.
In the first two seasons, Transcendence gave over $72,000 to Jack London State Historic Park and played an important part in saving the park from slated closure. $5 from every ticket sold goes to the park.
