Tuku Wachana (quechua tuku owl, wacha birth, to give birth, -na a suffix,[2][3] "where the owl is born", also spelled Tucuhuachana) is mountain in the Kallawaya mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,000-metre (16,000 ft) high. It is located in the Puno Region, Carabaya Province, Ituata District. Tuku Wachana lies southwest of Pumaqulluni, northeast of Q'iruni and southeast of Allpa Qhata. The little lake east of it is named Wila Quta (Aymara for "red lake", also spelled Vilajota).[1]
