University of London Boat Club (ULBC or UL) is the rowing club for the University of London with membership open to students of all of its constituent Colleges. As with other collegiate universities, many of the University of London's colleges have their own boat clubs. Members of these college boat clubs who feel strong enough can trial for a place in the squad of The University Of London Boat Club to compete at an elite level. The club has its boat house on the River Thames in Chiswick, London, United Kingdom and is a designated High Performance Programme for GB Rowing, providing a pathway for athletes onto the U23 and Senior GB Rowing Teams
The University of London Boat Club (ULBC) has been represented at every Olympic Games since 1960, has more Henley Royal Regatta wins than any other British University in history and has won at least one event a year at Henley Women's Regatta for the past 20 years. ULBC won the Victor Ludorum in 2014 at the BUCS Regatta. ULBC has produced a huge number of international representatives, many of whom have then gone on to medal or win at Senior and U23 World Championships and Olympic Games.

Coaching team
The University of London Boat Club has three full-time coaches, two S&C coaches and a large network of volunteer coaches. Physio support is also available. There are a number of alumni and volunteers who help with facilities and logistics. Phil Gray was appointed Chief Coach in 2015, replacing Brian Young who continues to support the club.
Scholarships and support
The University of London Boat Club supports all its athletes by covering race entries, transport to events, racing kit and subsidising post training meals and club training camps. For those athletes who are competing at the top level of the sport they will receive assistance in covering the extra costs associated with that. The club is also able to offer subsidised on-site accommodation.
There is also support available from the university in the form of the Convocation Trust. This funding is available through the university to help cover the costs associated with international representation.
Some individual college sports department also have sport bursaries available to students of those colleges. These vary in form from cash bursaries to support services such as physiotherapy and strength and conditioning. In addition most colleges have a number of academic scholarships and bursaries.
Alumni and wider participation
The club shares its facilities with an active and supportive rowing alumni club, Tyrian Club which began as a selective club but in common with various community-minded sports initiatives across British universities became open to a wide range of non-novice adults in the early 2010s with its own designated blades and training programme.[2] Tyrian members frequently train with the current ULBC squad. In 2013 a Tyrian Club crew won the Wyfold Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta and in 2015 won an event at the Head Of The Charles Regatta, in the USA.
