Unstoppable (Girl Talk album)
Unstoppable is second studio album by American musician Girl Talk, released in early 2004. Similar to Girl Talk's other releases on the Illegal Art label, Illegal Art made Unstoppable available for purchase on their website through a "pay what you want" pricing system. It is also his only remaining album available for purchase on the iTunes Store, following the removal of Night Ripper (2006) over sample clearance issues.
Girl Talk has stated that with Unstoppable, "the idea was to make more original sounding hip hop type music and pop music out of samples and having some blatant samples. It was obviously more party oriented, something you could jam out to."[3] Mark Richardson of Pitchfork Media notes that Unstoppable and its predecessor Secret Diary are "far noisier and much more abstract" than his subsequent releases.[4] The album placed at numbers 179 and 18 on CMJ's Top 200 and RPM Albums airplay charts.[5]
