Up4Sale.com was an online auction company created in 1994 and based in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It was the only pre-IPO acquisition by eBay on July 16, 1998, and subsequently integrated into the company.[1][2]The company was developed by Rob Ratterman, Chris Downie, Wally Carroll, and Tom Duvall and eventually sold to eBay. One of the founders, Chris Downie, is now a Motivation Expert and founder of the organization SparkPeople. Another founder, Rob Ratterman, joined with Eric Stein to form CanDo.com in 2001, a technology-based business focusing on driving a client's Internet presence to produce greater profits and interaction with the client itself. CanDo still exists in 2016 with 14 employees/contractors, with eBay as one of its clients. CanDo's subsidiary CanDoPolitics.com was the online donations' manager and APP provider for the Rand Paul 2016 presidential campaign.
