The Urgench State University named after Al-Khorezmi (Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī), (Uzbek language: Al-Xorazmiy nomidagi Urganch Davlat Universiteti) is a state university based in Urgench, Uzbekistan. Established in 1992 by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
