Plot

Set up during N. T. Rama Rao's political regime, the film deals with events leading to the assassination of MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga which resulted in political turmoil, and gang warfare in Vijayawada.

Background

In 1972, the murder of Communist Party of India, secretary for Vijayawada, Chalasani Venkata Rathnam allegedly led by Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, which in turn led to the murder of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga's elder brother, Vangaveeti Radha Krishna Rao Sr., in 1974 by the rival group allegedly led by Devineni Murali. These two events led to the alleged protracted murders of two brothers Devineni Murali in 1979, and Devineni Chandrasekhar (Gandhi) in 1988 by Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga.
