Vasudevanallur is a panchayat town in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Most of the population is still Agrarian. This form of self-government was prevalent even through the late 1950s.
Geography
Vasudevanallur is located at 9°14′N 77°25′E / 9.23°N 77.42°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 178 metres (583 feet).
The Artha Nareeshwarar Temple located in two places in World. Vasudevanallur is one of the place. Every year 10 days celebration takes place. On the 10th day Therottam( Car festival) takes place. One of the Big festival in Vasudevanallur.

As of 2001 India census,[2] Vasudevanallur had a population of 18,461. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Vasudevanallur has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 51%. In Vasudevanallur, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Politics
Vasudevanallur assembly constituency (SC) is part of Tenkasi (Lok Sabha constituency).[3]
