Wallowing in Dhaka (2015) is a novella by Ishtiaque Hossain about two advertisers living in Dhaka.
Plot Synopsis
The book chronicles the misadventures of Jackie Jamshed, a con-man turned advertiser who dreams of gaining fame and fortune by exploiting underprivileged children borne by sex-workers. His plan is to open a fake school for under-privileged children and embezzle foreign aid under the guise of a philanthropist. However, his diabolical plans end up putting him in compromising and often hilarious situations.[1]
The book has a niche but strong fan-base and has been warmly received by Bangladeshi diaspora.[2] [3]
