Lift plunges incident

In October 2008, an elevator of Shin Nga House, Fu Shin Estate which suddenly plunged 14 stories but no one was injured[15] raised concerns on the lift safety.[16] The Government later confirmed the incident was caused by the failure of the counterweight pulley bearing, which caused the dislodgement of all the 8 suspension ropes from the counterweight.[17]
