Warheart is Terry Goodkind's eighteenth novel, the 15th and final novel in The Sword of Truth series.[2][3]
Warheart marks the end of Richard and Kahlan's journey and is the final battle in a war three-millennia old. With Hannis Arc and Emperor Sulachan marching towards the heart of D'Hara, Kahlan faces her greatest challenge and must fight for the world of life and for Richard's very existence.
Detailed summary
It's my personal detailed summary, first names are reduced by their capital like R for Richard. The purpose is to bring back R from the dead.
Nicci:: if K would’ve killed N, R would still be killed by Samantha. R would have committed suicide to try to save K but useless as K wouldn’t be healed by N. So with Red's advice all 3 would be dead.
Nicci can contact Isidore who can contact Naja hiding from Sulachan. Naja can locate Richard's spirit. Bring him back watching the underworld making R exist through Kahlan's blood.
The wizards pull away demons, Zedd is necessary so it's "good" he got killed. Naja sent N back to the world of life. R needs a sacrifice to use a living bridge. Cara comes to give her life to him!
Irena’s writting with Dreier, he told him to behave so no one finds out her murders, she let caught by Hannis Arc to report to Dreier his doings. She even let him take care of Samantha if she became suspicious. She tries to kill R by magic in wrath, him & K flee. R wants to catch her but K says they shall take care of the 2, R wants to seek how Arc brought back Sulachan.
The citadel was a prison to enclose occult people but the interest became prophecy or inmates took over to work on domination. Prophecy should be classified by chronology. Arc watches beavers building a dam to control the flow of the stream. Arc stayed focused on cerulean scrolls drawing symbols on his body. It tells of S R K revived. As the temple of the winds was put in the underworld, Regula was banished from it powering prophecy. It is from dead prophets. Orden can bend the nature of existence with the star shift, he reignited the Great war. R is guilty of the weakening of the veil, there's a balance to the harm. Arc reads prophecy applied to it like chess: box of Orden to Darken > S. S put instructions in the scrolls so Arc would obey. Good spirits banished Regula as a bargain of the temple of the winds but prophecy leaked then passing by prophets. The use of the boxes is the initiating phase. R must destroy Regula Arc tattooes anchor S to the world and protect from him. A Warheart can kill Arc send S back, close the spectral shift and the bridge btw worlds. R has war in his heart for having sacrificed for K, she has the value of life. Some keep scrolls while R and others go to Stroyza.
Samantha had killed Stroyza, she allowed a demon to grip her, she wrecks the mountain, kills the soldiers, targets R but so focused in hate she dies. They are stuck in the middle in a corridor. They go down deeper and cross shepherd statues, no more decorations, they go back to the shepherds and activate them thanks to Nicci's magic, they find Lucy's well. She doesn't know of the People's Palace but only the Wizard's keep, they have an unpleasant trip, arrive at the keep's catacombs at the Sanctuary of Souls. They go up and reach the closed entrance. Verna is dumbfounded to see R K.
Stone walls of Panis's crypt melting. Zedd: whitestone from quarry of the prophets to seal the crypt shut. The white stone melted when half-people appeared. R needs to see Regula the other half of the book regula at the temple is a fake. Regula's purpose is by its free will to help R bring it back home. The vipers write they arrive. At the library containment field, R Cassia rush to the sliph to the Sanctuary of souls to take back the sword and gather souls to bring them back home with it. Half-people come from catacombs under the plains outside the plateau. R is back, at the Garden of Life. When the time comes let them have the main halls. S comes to Regula, as he goes to the boxes R traces a circle to the low alcove and unwraps a ward spell cloth to trap S.
He frees the death call within him to send Regula and S back home. Vika hits R's skull, Arc is good with S dead as he wanted to end the world of life. Arc has R and K within reach and Vika kills Arc at the skull, she chose R's side since the cave prison. In the underworld he put off poison and gift, fixed the gift put it back under with poison on top.
Nicci travels with Nathan.
