Waterlogic, founded in 1992, is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of bottleless drinking water purification and dispensing systems.[1] Waterlogic indirectly sells products through their dealer program and also leases or sells (with a maintenance service) directly to workspaces such as offices, factories, hospitals, hotels, schools, and restaurants.[2]

Waterlogic products are sold in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and South Africa, with its USA headquarters in New Castle, Delaware.[3]

Product technology

Waterlogic uses the existing water line to connect their bottleless water coolers.[4] As the water is being dispensed through a Waterlogic product, it uses a three-step approach to purify and remove contaminants for the water, which includes:[5]

Within Waterlogic’s Purity step, they also provide their Firewall™ protection technology, which contains an ultra-violet (“UV”) lamp positioned at the point of dispense, killing germs milliseconds before the water lands in a cup.[9] The Water Quality Association certifies Waterlogic drinking units and guarantees 99.9999% pure water when using Firewall™ technology.[10]

Along with the Water Quality Certification, Waterlogic has a variety of products that hold other certifications such as Energy Star, ETL/CE Safety Standards, ISO9000 – Quality Management Systems, NSF and ANSI, and WRAS.[11] Products have also been reported to be independently certified by the Carbon Trust due to Waterlogic’s use of recycled filters, recycled internal parts and only having the carbon filtration granules replaced and disposed of, which decreases materials that are sent to a landfills.[12]

Manufacturing

Waterlogic has a fully owned and operated factory in Qingdao, China.[13] This facility operates with 200 employees and an international management team, along with an automated production line, advanced computer-controlled refrigeration equipment and a testing chamber that helps guarantee the quality control.[14]
