The Weidner Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States and part of University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. It is named after the university's founder, Dr. Edward Weidner. In addition to being the home of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay's theatre and musical ensembles, the center also hosts individual entertainers and touring companies. The center seats about 2,021 people with three levels of seating and has a mandate of providing a venue accessible to both the university population and to the larger Green Bay community. The center opened on January 15, 1993.
In December 2005, the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay announced that it would no longer book Broadway performances, and would focus on campus and community performances, speakers, and educational programming. One year later, it announced that a non-profit organization, Weidner Center Presents, would handle the booking of larger shows.
