Western Schools

Western Schools is a company based in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA, that provides continuing education programs to health care professionals.[1] The company was founded in 1979 and is a division of Specialty Catalog Corporation.

Western Schools currently offers continuing education home study courses in eight disciplines: Nursing, Advanced Practice Nursing, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Technicians, and Nursing Home Administration.

Nursing

Western Schools is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation[2]

Social work

Western Schools holds both national and state accreditations and approvals for Social Work CE. As a result, Western Schools is able to offer courses to Social Workers throughout the U.S.

The Association of Social Work Boards lists Western Schools as an approved provider for social work accreditation (provider #1147).[3]

Counselors

Western Schools holds both national and state accreditations and approvals for Counselor CE allowing them to offer courses to Counselors throughout the U.S. The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) also lists Western Schools as an approved continuing education provider (#6257).[4]
