Westside is an American drama television pilot which was created by Byron Balasco and produced by Balasco, McG, Ilene Chaiken, and Peter Johnson. It was developed by Ilene Chaiken for ABC.[1] ABC had ordered the pilot episode on January 22, 2013.[2] The pilot was directed by McG,[3] but it was not picked up to series.[4]
Plot
The show revolves around the haves and have-nots of Venice, Los Angeles, and focuses on two rival families in a classic story of Romeo and Juliet.[1][2][5][6][7]
Cast and characters
- Odette Annable as Sophie Nance, lead heroine of series, the owner of the hippest boutique in Venice, who falls in love with the offspring of her family’s archenemies, Chris Carver.[6]
- Luke Bracey as Chris Carver, "handsome and sexy" Lisa Carver's son, who has a six-year prison term for dealing marijuana.[8]
- Bruce Greenwood as Gordy Nance, Sophie’s father.[6]
- Jennifer Beals as Lisa Carver, matriarch of Carver's family.[1]
- Michael Graziadei as Josh Nance, Gordy's son, who is now working in the family business.[9]
- Lincoln Lewis as Shealy Carver, the son of Lisa Carver.[10]
- Dean Winters as Robbie Carver, is the brother-in-law of Lisa Carver.[11]
- Lexi Ainsworth as Nico Carver, Lisa Carver's teenage daughter.[12]
- Brooklyn Sudano as Jess, Chris' girlfriend.[13]
