Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean is the debut EP album from American post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance. It was recorded over a period of six months between 2005-2006 at the now-defunct Deathbot Studios. Early versions of the EP were distributed throughout 2006. After signing to Rise Records, the original sessions were handed over to Kris Crummett for mastering. The EP saw an official release in November 2006.
Drummer Matthew Mingus was only 17 years old when the EP was released.
