The white-spotted woodpecker (Veniliornis spilogaster) is a species of bird in the Picidae family. It is found in Brazil, Uruguay, eastern Paraguay and northeastern Argentina.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and heavily degraded former forest.
