Wilfried Emvula

Wilfried Emvula is a Namibian politician and diplomat. A member of the South West Africa People's Organization, Emvula has served as Namibia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations since 2010. Emvula was Ambassador to France from 1999 to 2006 and was appointed as Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union in 2006.[1]

Political career

Emvula joined the National Council of Namibia in 1993. He later became Deputy Ministry of Trade and Industry prior to being replaced by Bernhardt Esau in 1999. He is also a trustee of the Legal Assistance Centre.[2]

Emvula presented his credentials as Permanent Representative to the United Nations on 31 August 2010.[1]

Personal life

He is married to Ester Emvula.
