Windbreaker is a fictional Autobot character in the Transformers series. He was also released under the name Zap.
Transformers: Generation 1
Windbreaker is a member of the Axelerators team, and turns into a car.[1]
Reception
Windbreaker was named the 7th top unfortunately named Transformer by Topless Robot.[2]

Windbreaker appeared in issue 3 of the ongoing Transformers: Generation One series by Dreamwave Productions.

Windbreaker appeared in Spotlight: Arcee by IDW Publishing.
Fun Publications
Windbreaker appeared in the 2010 Transformers: Timelines story "Generation 2 Redux." [3]
Windbreaker appears in "A Flash Forward" by Fun Publications. Cliffjumper is assigned to evaluate the powers of the young Autobots who gained powers from forestonite. He tests Firecracker, Electro, Manta Ray, Aquafend, Windbreaker and Road Rocket. Windbreaker displays the ability to create gusts of wind from his hands.[4]
Spark commands an Autobot shuttle crewed by Blaze, Hubcap, Sideswipe, Streetstar and Windbreaker into space where they intercept a distress call from Spike Witwicky on the planet Nebulos. When the Autobots arrive on Nebulos they meet Spike and Carly Witwicky, Chip Chase and the Autobots Brainstorm, Chromedome, Crosshairs and Highbrow who inform them that the Nebulan scientist Hi-Q is missing. They learn from Hi-Q's assistant Hi-Test that Hi-Q had security monitors and through them discover the scientist was kidnapped by the Decepticons Runabout and Runamuck.[5]
Other media
The Axelerators are among the characters appearing in the unlicensed comic book Transformers Chronicles Book One by Hirofumi Ichikawa. This story has them work with Smokescreen and fight the Skyscorchers.

- Generation 1 Axelerator Windbreaker (1993)
- The Axelerators were originally released in 1993 as Generation 1 European exclusive toys, then in the U.S. and Europe as part of the Generation 2 line. European versions had pink windows, while U.S. versions had smoke colored windows. Like all Axelerators, his vehicle mode engine became his robot mode gun.[6]
