The Winter Session of the Maharashtra Legislature, which includes both of its houses, the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad, is held in Nagpur in November–December-January every year. Nagpur is the auxiliary capital of the state. The session is held at Vidhan Bhavan, Nagpur. The Budget session of the Maharashtra legislature takes place at Mumbai, which is the main capital of the state.
