Wonderland Amusement Park (Massachusetts)

The old Wonderland Amusement Park operated from 1906 to 1911 in Revere, Massachusetts. It included roller coasters, a reenactment of an urban conflagration, and various ethnic and technological attractions and is cited as a possible inspiration for Disneyland. The park closed for financial reasons in 1911 and the Wonderland Greyhound Park opened on the site in 1935, before its own closure in 2009.

The park was served by the Boston, Revere Beach and Lynn Railroad, known as the "Narrow Gauge". Today the rail stop is called Wonderland, and is the northern terminus of the MBTA's Blue Line. The title of the 1998 film Next Stop Wonderland refers to this station.

Wonderland is a few hundred feet from Revere Beach, the nation's first public beach, which has been a popular summer recreation area since the coming of the Narrow Gauge in 1875.
