In March 2012 it was announced he'd join the special unit 3Peace☆Lovers of producer Vomos together with Nikaido Hayato and ZE:A's Ha Min Woo. They debuted on June 26, 2012 with their first single Virtual Love, immediately claiming a 10th-place ranking in the Daily Oricon Charts.
Career
Sasaki started his stage career in 2003 appearing in the stage production of Hidamari no ki. Between 2003 and 2007 he appeared in multiple stage plays, musicals, commercials and movies, but only became known with a greater audience when he debuted as Shiraishi Kuranosoke, the captain of a fictional tennis club, in The Prince of Tennis musical production (Tenimyu) in 2008. At this point his career takes a flight and he gains much popularity, especially with teenage girls. In 2009 he frequently appears in Tenimyu, but is also featured in multiple magazines and even releasing a photobook and Idol DVD. In 2010 his appearance as Shiraishi Kuranosuke comes to an end with Dream Live 7th.
In 2010 he continues to be featured in multiple magazines, but takes on new challenges doing the recitation of the stage play Watashi no Atama no Naka no Keshigomu 2nd letter (The eraser in my mind). He also appears in the movie Kimi e no Melody (Melody for you), co-starring with Hisanori Sato, who was a member of Tenimyu's Shitenhouji cast as well. He released his first mini-album titled Spark in November after announcing his artist debut during the Summer Live tour with his good friend Yūta Furukawa (Sasaki and Furukawa also met during Tenimyu). At the end of 2010 Sasaki continues his stage career appearing in Pride.
2011 brings Sasaki more work. Not only does he appear in multiple stage performances, he also appears in 3 movies. Gakudori, Gangster and Ishi no Furu Oka (The Hill of the Falling Stones). Co-starring as the lead with Yūta Furukawa in the last . A few months later another pair of DVD's is released featuring Sasaki and Furukawa, covering their journey in Australia. In 2011 Sasaki also starts appearing in the TV series Shinwa Senshi Gigazeus,[2] holds multiple live performances, releases 2 maxi singles, releases a calendar and becomes the MC of the Nico Nico Live Broadcast titled mmmm☆Ecstasy.
In 2012 he continues his stage career appearing in Douke no Hitomi, Tumbling vol.3,[3] SA☆BI☆TA~ame ni hakonda ai~,[4] another run of Watashi no Atama no Naka no Keshigomu and the 5th Anniversary ONE-HEART MUSICAL FESTIVAL[5] to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Theatre Clear. He also makes appearances in TV series Fallen Angel and Aozora no Tamago (A budding blue sky). Nico Live Broadcast titled mmmm☆Ecstasy comes to an end, but is soon replaced with Nico Live Broadcast titled mmmm☆Ecstasy?. Due to his busy schedule Sasaki is only able to appear a few times and the show is canceled later in the same year. In March he releases his 2nd mini-album NeΦ Vocalism. Around the same time it's announced he'll form a new unit called 3Peace☆Lovers with Hayato Nikaido and ZE:A's Ha Min Woo.
3Peace☆Lovers
3Peace☆Lovers (3PL) is a special unit created by Vomos, a famous producer who's also in charge of Nico Nico Video's unit √5 (Root 5) and Sekihan (赤飯). 3PL's aim is to overcome the limits of genres, land borders and languages to create a new kind of entertainment. Their ultimate goal is to do an Asia tour (in 2013). The formation of this unit is being covered in the Music TV show BREAK OUT.[6]
Current members of the unit are Yoshihide Sasaki, Hayato Nikaido and ZE:A's Min woo. They respectively represent the genres of acting/jpop, visual kei and kpop. They debuted with their first single Virtual Love on June 26, 2012. Making it to the 10th place of the Daily Oricon charts a day before its release and to the 25th place in the weekly charts in the first week after release. Their second single Love Evolution was released on November 6 and even made it to the 2nd place of the Daily Oricon charts. In the weekly charts it once again ended up on the 25th place. Thus doing pretty well. The release of their third single is scheduled on April 30, 2013.
