Zharkain District (Kazakh: Жарқайың ауданы) is a district of Akmola Region in northern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the town of Derzhavinsk.[2] Population: 24,326 (2009 Census results);[3] 15,423 (1999 Census results).[3]
