Żędowice [ʐɛndɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German Sandowitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zawadzkie, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Zawadzkie, 18 km (11 mi) north-east of Strzelce Opolskie, and 42 km (26 mi) east of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village has a population of 2,500.
