The 1993-94 NBA season was the Warriors' 48th season in the NBA and their 31st season in the San Francisco Bay Area.[1] The Warriors selected Anfernee Hardaway with the third pick in the 1993 NBA draft, but soon traded him to the Orlando Magic for Chris Webber. Despite losing Tim Hardaway and Šarūnas Marčiulionis for the entire season due to injuries, the Warriors finished third in the Pacific Division with a solid 50–32 record. Webber was named Rookie of the Year averaging 17.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.2. blocks per game. Latrell Sprewell made the All-NBA First Team and was selected to play in the 1994 NBA All-Star Game.

In the first round of the playoffs, the Warriors were swept by the Phoenix Suns in three straight games. This would be their final playoff appearance until 2007. Following the season, Marčiulionis was traded to the Seattle SuperSonics, and Avery Johnson re-signed as an unrestricted free agent with the San Antonio Spurs.
