The 2008–09 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League season was the third edition of this competition.
Format
Eight teams played in the league. For the first stage, they play each other twice. At the end of the first stage the top four teams advance to a knockout competition, the finalists of which qualify for the 2009–10 OFC Champions League.
