The 2011–12 season was Elgin City's twelfth consecutive season in the Scottish Third Division, having been admitted to the Scottish Football League at the start of the 2000–01 season.[1] Elgin also competed in the Challenge Cup, League Cup and Scottish Cup.

Summary

Elgin finished fourth in the Third Division entering the play offs,[2] they lost 2–1 on aggregate in the semi final and remained in the third division.[3] They reached the second round of the Challenge Cup,[4] the first round of the League Cup[5] and the third round of the Scottish Cup.[6]
