- 2 April - Ermela Mezuraj wins the fourth season of Big Brother, becoming the show's first female winner.
- 16 June - Actor Enver Petrovci and his partner Loreta Bala win the second season of Dancing with the Stars.
- 29 December - Rona Nishliu is selected to represent Albania at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Suus". She is selected to be the ninth Albanian Eurovision entry during Festivali i Këngës 50 held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
