Urwa Al Hallak, known as Al Hallak (born September 6, 1980) is a Syrian American independent film director, producer and writer based in Los Angeles, California. His Sci-Fi thriller The Paradigm received The Award of Excellence at Los Angeles Movie Awards.[1] He has been a faculty member at the New York Film Academy and International Academy of Film and Television, Los Angeles.[1]
In 2013, he received recognition certificate from Burbank mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy and was commend by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Al Hallak was appointed as a judge at the 2016 Washington West Film Festival held in Washington, D.C.[2] He was recognized local filmmaker as the October 2016 Filmmaker of the Month by The District of Columbia (OCTFME).[3]
